Alrighty then! We had a great time last night with Mike and Denise. They came out to see Salamanticus. Along the way, they toured the almost moved into new place. Denise, probably due to her triathlon training, didn’t seem the least bit winded by all the stairs in the apartment. Dinner at Border Grill was excellent. You can never go wrong with multiple <no-linky because they use frames!!>margaritas<no-linky>. We almost didn’t make it to the show in time, but I’m glad we did.

Surprise surprise… Salamanticus was much funnier than Journey of the Plague Year, the last Ziggurat show we saw. I really enjoyed the theater-in-the-round staging in this new venue. All the actors fit well and carried their roles convincingly. Towards the end, there was a line by the almost-Queen which made Mike and I laugh as if we were at a Chris Farley movie. I thought Mike might lose it. This morning, I was writing to Gary telling him about the show. I noticed my ipaulo entry about “jenny woo 29 views” is #3 on google. By today’s standards, I think that defines “fan” (and successful blogging!).

Pretty sure I should wait till the official week of mourning is over, but Bush / Zombie Reagan is #2 on blogdex. I guess that means I’m joining tens of thousands of bloggers who enjoy a good laugh with questionable taste. Be sure to read the FAQ and media pages. I was sorry to learn Mr. Sig Alert, Loyd Sigmon, died last week. Years of commuting in LA taught me to appreciate his legacy.

AH!! I heard they were out of space on the Cup, and they’d be adding a new ring to make space. Thought that was weird, that the cup would eventually get so big players couldn’t lift it. But duh! I just heard they ‘retire’ a ring when they add a new one. Ah ha.. (and p.s. I’m so glad the Cup wasn’t decided by that horrible call on the Bolt’s Pratt in the 3rd. Yikes!)

Yikes! The cybercrime treaty (not yet ratified by the US Senate, but signed by the PseudoPresident) sounds like great fun. Let’s see… How to commit a crime in Canada without even leaving home. Stop all the bother trying to prevent identity theft by using data encryption. Both are easy under this gem of a treaty to protect us. Write your senator today and mention your concern over “Treaty Document #108-1“!

Yuck! I’ve been really busy with work, playoffs, and general Tivo. The faithful know how bad I’ve been. But I’m back, at least for a little bit. Today I fixed MT so it won’t do the silly thing it did and reveal just how out of date my blog becomes in future – not that it will ever happen again. I also learned how to use MT-blacklist to get rid of 10 or so comments dumb spambots had created. Why do these people exist?! Couldn’t there be a special rapture for spammers?! Please please please.
