Geshia

Eh. Read the book. It’s more interesting.

Glory Road

Glory Road was a pretty good movie. Basketball fans would probably be more into it. Not being a huge bball fan, I’m glad I saw it and I would recommend this as a good netflix choice.

The Matador

With some trepidation since Guy (friend at work) commented I’m very easy with my ratings, I have to say I loved The Matador. Greg Kinnear and Pierce Brosnan are both fantastic. Pulling this story off required an odd couple-like pairing, which they slid right into. Arclight was a blissfully commercial-free movie experience as always.

santa stars

Even on Christmas eve, there are enough geeks reading slashdot to overwhelm a site like Santa Stars. Try later. It sounds like a festive holiday use of google maps. I have my GPS and camera, so I’ll try to add one from right up the street. It’s maintained by a guy who might be related to Hagrid.

Crash

Oh my! Crash deserves whatever oscar nominations it receives. The story could have been obvious and uninspiring, but it wasn’t. The twists could have felt manipulative, but they didn’t. The way characters kept bumping into each others stories could have felt artificial, but they’d didn’t. In the brave new world of “why own a dvd there’s netflix”, this is a movie I want to own. Good stuff.
