Well, diving will now continue as a PADI open water certified diver. Woot! Dove the rookery at Santa Barbara Island, which was just teaming with sea lions. They came right up to us, swam, danced, stared. It was amazing. Fortunately, they didn’t “chew on fins or snorkels“. (Gotta ask Brian about that one!) I wonder if chewing on fins would be considered an attack, or just play. Brian said he’s never seen them attack anyone. Can’t wait to see the photos classmates and instructor took.

Pictures man Pictures!!! If you’re gonna do something as cool as scuba you gotta give us pics! I guess you’re gonna have to start investigating underwater enclosures for your DSLR!!!
Sorry. Been wildly busy at work and now the car shopping. No investigating required. I just need to find the gumshun (and cash!) to pop down $1200 for the enclosure. Not something I\\\’m likely to do soon given my a) looming car purchase and b) my total lack of all other scuba gear which will run me at least $1500.
You really need to have a ‘iPaulo survived the weekend’ button on the top of the page. That way we know if you’re ok. I’m sitting here wondering if you drowned or got eaten by a shark or stung by a sting ray. If you did dive this weekend I hope it went well!
