Big Band baby!

I once worked with a Digital Medievalist
(this one in fact!).. How cool is that. Oh, the days of Calliope. It
was like Narnia. Well, that’s a little extreme.

Thanks to Miss Emergency Food Repair for being my only customer at the
Guad Garage Sale. Sold her 3 books for a buck. I don’t think I’ll try
to sell my books at a garage sale again.

I need a house. I need a dog. I need a yard. I need a tesla coil.

Well, week 5 at swing had some hurdles. Was just getting over a cold.
Had some rough moments with new and old moves alike. But, practice is
making perfect. So I’m getting warmed up about the idea of finding some
places to swing in LA.

I really liked the Baz Luhrmann song “Wear Sunscreen” that was so
popular about a year ago. Tonight, after our 4th swing’in good lesson,
I found these great alternate lyrics by way of the swishy skirt site! Go Daddy-o!

Did anyone happen to see my pyRad for iPaulo? It was free and brought 8 visitors to my site. Yippie. Hope they liked me.

Oh, and I saw lilo & stitch. I was disappointed. Disney can never get a break. First, all their characters are Barbie dolls.
Then, 99% of their Hawaiian characters are either obese or thin on top
and big on the bottom. Makes you wonder how to define average. The
visual appeal of the animation was spotty at best. The surfing scenes
were nice, the house explosion was hip, but most of the time there
wasn’t much going on. And what was with all the Disney-referential
stuff? Sales of dvd’s not what they used to be so they are trying to
subliminally increase sales?

Worship me! Bow. Pay tribute, pay homage, call it whatever you’d like… just pay!
For gifts, I already have a GPS and dvd player. To my list, I’d add
cool photos of places I should go hiking. Please, no Iced Mocha
Cappuccino. (btw, to my fellow geek readers, I’m so glad my comm rack isn’t alone.)

Tequilla rock? Well, not quite the name but it sure looks purty. Neat looking hike.
