Even on Christmas eve, there are enough geeks reading slashdot to overwhelm a site like Santa Stars. Try later. It sounds like a festive holiday use of google maps. I have my GPS and camera, so I’ll try to add one from right up the street. It’s maintained by a guy who might be related to Hagrid.
geeky
Geeky stuff goes here. This is a new category, so a lot of geeky stuff will still be in the “Stuff” parent category.
peons and routers
These System Administrator Truths are fun. And the related End-User truths should be put under the pillow by the tooth fairy.
online publishing systems
This is a geeky bookmark post for geeks and sys admins. Check out these two open source projects. Magnolia is a j2ee-based CMS product. The humano2 project is even more interesting. It’s a business app framework which seems very interesting. I like building things without major programming and it looks like humano might make that possible.
Movies coming back!
Righto. Using the category posts plugin, I made major progress tonight getting my movies ratings listed again using the new blog software. Hopefully will finish tomorrow.
iPod gum
Yeah, the guy holding the gum is creepy, but I might need to go over to www.decalgirl.com and get my iPod a skin.
Tie Fighter Mod
This Tie Fighter case mod brings new meaning to “computer desk”.
firefox versus safari
If you’re a Mac user with Tiger, it’s hard to pick between Safari and Firefox. And it just got even more difficult now that I’ve seen Greasemonkey. Very cool!
Adobe PR Speak
Adode Systems recently announced they were purchasing Macromedia. The two companies have been rivals for years. Daring Fireball has a PR-Speak to English Translation of the Adobe merger FAQ.
microsoft longhorn PSOD
Microsoft adding a Red Screen of Death to longhorn is funny, but the comment about the new purple screen of death which “happens when longhorn bsods and rsods at the same time” is truly hysterical. (Bsod=Blue Screen of Death)
