Did I get you with the title? huh huh? Anyway. Beatty at UCLA led me to this artist, Julian Beever, doing street art. It’s amazing what illusions he can create.

Belgarid book X
Oh, I finished this series in record time. Easy, fun reading.
Belgariad Book 1
Polished off book 1 of the belgariad series last night. I can see why it was a series Dirk talked about so much years ago. Good story. Fun characters. I picked up books 1-6 at Bag ‘n Bowl on July 4, so I’m moving on to book 2 today.
stabbed for an iPod
It’s pretty sad when a kid gets stabbed over an iPod and his tennis shoes.
comic life
I had fun using plaq’s Comic Life to make this comic strip I call sibling thom foolery.
smith part deux
This page of stupid movie physics is great. I’m not easily insulted by my movies, but the amount of automatic weapons fire in movies does occasionally stretch the bounds of credulity even for me. I love the math behind the sheer weight of the ammunition (see “The Mac 10 Problem”) our action heroes would have to carry around. Very fun.
Netflix
We’ve been seeing some great stuff from netflix recently. Thumbs way up for Tao of Steve, The King of Masks and Napoleon Dynamite. All well worth the time. Very enjoyable.
hockey a go go
Hey, maybe the NHL and the player (oops.. players) are finally going to resolve their differences and start playing hockey again!
