For movie news, unless noted otherwise here, I’ve seen all the movies featured on guad 🙂 spot and agree with Myk’s excellent, in-depth Low Bandwidth Reviews. And I must say, while iPaulo isn’t the hotbed of activity it once was, I’m proud to have helped inspire myk and quel to blog.

I was happy when the Ducks won their first home game Friday night. It
wasn’t a blowout, but a 2-1 win against the Caps was a pleasant,
two-point surprise. Add a night out with Nise and Mike and you’ve got a
darn good Friday night. Plus, Shields had an amazing save
(no video to be found online, sorry). Then, Sunday’s game appeared on
television to have really stunk up the Pond. Glad I wasn’t there. Can’t
laugh about how bad they played Sunday, but I laughed about this hockey comicstrip.

Ah. UCLA’s new organization iCompass
hosted their second event (I think) today. Jakob Nielsen was an
interesting speaker but I expected more; I’d heard he was an amazing
speaker. Nonetheless, his ideas and research on “usable information technology” are useful to almost anyone publishing on the web.
