not to give away all the secret workings of iPaulo, but I’m hoping to
find time for some redesign soon. sg suggested i look at eye candy underground
for ideas. more designer-ish than i want in most cases but i was
looking for inspiration not a cookie cutter idea. if you see a site you
feel would inspire a better iPaulo, feel free to email me.

ok. blogger has been really slow for about 2 weeks. only through
several attempts and many javascript time outs was i able to bring you
the 1/2/01 issue of iPaulo. alas, there was an 1/4/01 issue. after
painstaking writing, blogger’s overloaded servers ate my post. i
decided to wait for the blogger server fund
to upgrade the blogbackend. they’ve been given an astonishing $10k so
far and a new server is now load sharing. so updating ipaulo is no
longer the tedious nightmare it has been recently.
sadly, the
1/4 issue which never appeared told you in a very timely manner the
whole monolith thing is just a marketing idea for a rerelease of 2001.
oh well. art, shmart, let’s make some money and if public officials can
be paid to lie to the press in the name of making a buck, great!
for fun, check out the van gogh-gogh’s site (the site is dead but this is a good link. try later). fans of the 80’s band the stray cats should go to leerocker.com.
that’s it for now.
Here we go. Commuting is
Here we go. Commuting is good for something…fun news stories for
iPaulo. 2001 is a great book and a movie with great space toys.
Inspiring enough to an artist to build a monolith to usher in the new year. It made a big splash in local news with a second story and then mysteriously disappeared.
(3 different links) I regret none of these links include pictures so
the written word will have to do–kind of fitting actually.
Where have I been? Obsessed
Where have I been? Obsessed with Everquest of course. My mind continues to rot during hours of computer gaming. Oops.
Let
me shout this from the rooftops: Owners of old televisions need not buy
a new tv to enjoy many of the benefits of DVD’s. Don’t listen to the
twits at the store. You can use a $30 RF modulator from Radio Shack. If
you’ve been gunshy about forking out the cash for a new tv and dvd
player, just buy the dvd player now. This came up with two people
recently. I’m thinking there are more people out there who might like
this kind of thang.
Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas to my sister Stuart, the future litl’ Stu, and everyone else out there! With love, iPaulo.
Crimson Skies is cool. Thanks

Boy, there are a lot
Boy, there are a lot of different versions of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Some are good, some are bad. Look at few. The Toledo Firefighters Museum’s version doesn’t roll off the tongue, but in the end I think it says something good for Christmas.
Ok. Did I steer you
Ok. Did I steer you wrong on the Bear vs Salmon Lover Guy a few days ago? I don’t think so. Now I’m going to point you to Chocolat — oh, wrong link. I mean Chocolat.
I don’t see how you can’t enjoy this movie. All the acting is great.
Even poor Johnny Depp, who had to work with a very silly, rendering of
a character. It’s a darn good movie. See it! and Carrie-Anne Moss (purrrr)
Rob Buck, 10000 Maniacs guitarist
Rob Buck, 10000 Maniacs guitarist
died. That sucks. I went to Cal Poly with an Architecture major named
Kathrine who introduced me to the Maniacs, and they have been one of my
favorites bands since. I thought I had all their albums up to 1993. I
just found out I’m missing quite a few but I digress. I’ve always loved
the glimpse we got of their early music from Fredonia in Hope Chest. Rob and the rest of the band evolved and created music which endures. I found a great message from someone who knew the Maniacs at Fredonia reminiscing about those days.
