Will EQ take over my life again? I doubt it but at least knowing more of the story of Norrath might make it seem more important.

And now we're going through a trial phase where several of us try Dark Age of Camelot. The graphics are great! Unlike EQ, 1st and 3rd person are both very usable. Let's people who get dizzy use 3rd without a handicap. I actually find 3rd person to some extent better than 1st. You get to see more of the amazing graphics. You can stare at the stars (which I beautiful!) while you fight and still see what's going on. Also, while the DAoC skill system (as opposed to EQ's rigid class system) makes characters less interchangable in groups, it also gives players flexibility and uniqueness. I think that's a plus overall. After 2 hours of frustrating gameplay adjusting to the bad parts of DAoC's interface and another 6 pleasant hours or so in game, I'm going to give it a big newbie thumbs up. I'll see what I think when I get killed for the first time by maruaders from another realm.

It's as slow as a snared orc, but guildmagic is still pretty cool. I'm going to make a point to update ikpyl and Brunm regularly.

It has been almost a full moon since the last post. Argh! Well, for all of you who had to work Friday and logged early, here are a few screenshots of what you missed. We met the great Knight Rallistar while he hunted the King of the Warrens. He fought, we watched, and there was much rejoicing. Shortly after that, the giant tadpole of the Warrens came out to play with Rallistar. Again, he fought, we watched, and there was much rejoicing. After these fell beasts were destroyed by his mighty blade, he nobly assisted us through several encounters which otherwise would have been our demise. And there was much, much, much rejoicing. (both links a little big-ish)

Have your palm handy but not a second computer to use for reference while in Norrath? Lhaen of Tunare has the answer.
