Waaa-whoooo! Diablo is dead.
After a mammoth battle, Dame Amadala, Dame Kariya, Dame Ope, Sir
Dyrkimus and Sir Myximus are crowned. Sir Seanicus also receives an
honorary title for his heroic contribution to Dame Kariya’s juggling of
parenting, child-sitting and bowazonning. Days and days of
5-player/computer battles by responsible 30+ adults and we don’t have a
single picture or screenshot. Drat – just shows you how immersive the
game is. Oh well, it was still fun.

Whew. Taking a breather. It feels very odd to be doing something other
than sleeping or playing Diablo 2. I’ve started a party with a group of
friends. We’ve all got our computers over at a friend’s house and we’ve
played several nights in a row till 5 am. Sleep deprivation as well as
too much time concentrating on being our characters has led to a few
problems. Hopefully everyone will make it through organic chemistry, be
able to resume normal parenting patterns, and generally be able to
interact with humans outside of the game when we’re through. Wish us
all luck.

Diablo 2 is not out.

Diablo 2 is not out. Do not go to Blizzard’s web site; for totally unknown reasons, it’s slow enough today without you there. Do not try to download the patch. Do not
go to the Puente Hills Best Buy and buy my copy of the game. Have a
nice day.

Alrighty. A new picture. It was taken Tuesday at the Santa Monica pier.
Andrea had a huge layover on the way from Salt Lake to Hawaii (lucky
dog). I picked her up, we had a great lunch at Kay and Dave’s, drove up
the coast on PCH until the scenery
changed from beautiful Pacific coastline to industrial junk. Native
Californian like me, I’d never been to Malibu or Pepperdine. Zuma Beach
(wish I’d seen this link before we took our drive) was just something
I’d heard about everyday in high school listening to the surf report on
KROQ. Now, I’ve seen a little bit of all of those places. It was good day.
