ooops. While using MarsEdit to catch up on movies in my blog, I erased my original national treasure post. Well, it went something like “It was your typical wannabe indiana jones movie but it show us Diane Kruger who really is a national treasure of germany.”

I’m sure this movie could have been more offensive but the mpaa must have toned it down. What was left was funny and only mildly offensive. (sarcasm flag)

For its genre (what genre is this movie in exactly? hmm), this movie deserves a full ipaulo. Kate Ashfield was a great deal more fun to watch and listen to than her evil twin Elisha Cuthbert, the infamous Kim “Oh No Mountain Lions are chasing me” Bauer from 24. Oh, imdb says the genre is “Romantic Comedy. With Zombies”. That’s a forgotten genre right there!

This wasn’t the depressing movie I figured it would be. I had a good time and thought it had a good story.

Donnie Darko

Ok, so I haven’t updated the site in a long time. And I saw this movie with mike a long time ago but I’m going to awaken my inner frankenstein-blogging at least for a little while. Donnie Darko was strange but very good. Enough said.

Aliens vs Predator

Normally, the iPaulo rating is a sliding scale. If a movie is good for its genre, or exceeded my expectations, I’d give it a good rating. AvP is such a movie. Yup, it was dumb. It was silly. I enjoyed it. But come on!! It’s a video game! So, what do you expect? Aliens? Star Wars? Raiders of the Lost Ark? Nope, you expect trash. Turned out to be good ‘ol fun trash. Does it get the good rating it deserves? Not today. I thought I’d be a little harsher so people who don’t read this wouldn’t think I’m totally crazy for giving AvP the same score as The Village.
